Preheat your oven to 200°C/180°C(fan)/400°F/Gas 6.
Biscuits
Sieve 250 g Self-raising flour into a large mixing bowl and add the cubes of 125 g Butter. Rub between your fingers until a breadcrumb consistency is formed.
Add 125 g Caster sugar, 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon Orange zest and 1 Egg. Mix well to combine everything.
Use your hands to form into a ball of dough. Transfer to a floured surface.
Roll the dough out to about 5mm thick. Use a star shaped cutter to cut out stars.
Place the stars onto a lined baking tray. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the edges start to darken.
Allow to cool on a wire rack.
Icing
Sieve 75 g Icing sugar into a bowl and add 1 tablespoon Orange juice and 1 teaspoon Water. Mix well to form a thick icing.
Decorate each biscuit with the icing and some Sprinkles.
Notes
Feel free to use different shaped cookie cutters for these Christmas biscuits. They don't have to be stars, they can be any festive shapes like Santa, snowmen or reindeers.
You can even use half the dough to make star biscuits and then wrap up the other half the make fresh biscuits for guests over the next couple of days.
You don't have to ice the biscuits, you could just leave them plain.
Make sure to cool the Christmas biscuits completely before icing, otherwise the icing will just melt right off them.
If you want to give these star biscuits as presents, then put them in a nice cellophane bag with some ribbon.
