Instructions
Rinse
170 g Brown rice
and
160 g Quinoa
under cold water and put into a saucepan.
Add
1 litre Water
and
1 pinch Sea salt
. Cover with a lid and simmer for 25 minutes.
All the water will have been absorbed. Use a fork to fluff up the rice and quinoa.
Notes
Rinse the brown rice and quinoa under cold water to remove any excess starch and bitterness.
For more flavor, you could cook this in chicken stock rather than water.
Once you turn the heat off, leave the lid on the pan until you are ready to serve it.
If you are adding this to a salad, I would leave it to cool a little first.
Add a squeeze of lemon juice and some fresh herbs before serving to freshen it all up.
