Make Halloween healthier and more fun with this Jack-O-Lantern shaped fruit tray. Get the kids involved in making this easy and delicious Halloween snack.
Use segments of 7 satsumas to make a Jack-O-Lantern shape.
Use 60 g Blueberries for the eyes, 4 Raspberries for the nose and 2 Strawberries to make the mouth.
Take slices of 0.5 Apple and make a stalk/stem.
Notes
Instead of apple slices for the stalk, you could use pretzel sticks.
This fruit tray is best made just before you are going to serve it, otherwise the fruit will start to go dry. If you are using apples and bananas, then they will start to brown after an hour anyway. You could brush them with some apple or lemon juice to prevent them from browning.
You can use any size platter you like. We used a small one, as you never knew how much fruit the kids are going to eat. Feel free to adapt. This Halloween Board would be good to use.
You can make this more Halloween themed by adding some fake spiders and eyeballs to it.
If you wanted to add some chocolate, then some dark chocolate chips would work for the eyes.
