Forget Starbucks! Make your own coffee frappe in the Ninja Creami. This Creamiccino is so simple to make with brewed coffee, milk and maple syrup. A frozen coffee drink that is much cheaper, and healthier, to make yourself, with lots of variations.

If you have the Ninja Creami Deluxe, you might have noticed the Frappe function and wondered what to do with it. You can make your own coffee frappe in the Ninja Creami, and it's called a Creamiccino.
If you buy these at the coffee shop often, then making these at home will soon pay for the cost of the machine.
You can make any flavor, just like you would order in a coffee shop. But our basic recipe has just 3 ingredients in it and takes just a couple of minutes to put together. You definitely need a stash of these in your freezer ready to blend through the summer months.

Ingredients and Substitutions

A full ingredients list, along with US Customary and Metric measurements, can be found in the recipe card at the end of this post.
- Brewed coffee - Just instant coffee with water is all you need here. You could use espresso, but we kept it simple and cheaper.
- Milk - We used skim milk to keep it light, but a higher fat percentage milk would make it creamier. You can use a non-dairy milk like almond milk or oat milk too.
- Sugar - We used maple syrup, as we prefer a liquid sweetener in our Creami recipes. But you could use granulated sugar if you prefer.
Variations
Dates - If you want to add a natural caramel flavor to the Ninja creamiccino, then you can blend some dates into it. You would need to blend dates into everything before freezing.
Chocolate - Who doesn't love a mocha frappe? Add some cocoa powder to the brewed coffee to make a mocha and then follow the recipe as normal. This makes a chocolate Creamiccino.
Syrup - You could swap the maple syrup for a coffee syrup and then make a different flavor every time. Something like hazelnut, salted caramel or vanilla will work well.
How To Make A Ninja Creami Creamiccino - Step by Step

- Step 1: Add the coffee to boiling water to make 30ml/1oz espresso shots. Mix into the cold water.
Pour it into the Ninja pint container with the milk and maple syrup.
Do not exceed the drinkable fill line.
Give it a stir.

- Step 2: Put the lid on the pint container and freeze for 24 hours.

- Step 3: After 24 hours, remove the lid from the frozen tub and put the tub into the outer bowl.
Make another 30ml/1 oz espresso shot and pour directly onto the frozen coffee in the pint container.
Put the lid on the outer bowl and put into the Creami machine.

- Step 4: Set the machine to the Frappe setting and spin.

- Step 5: Pour into a glass and serve.
Creamiccino Toppings
You could just serve this Ninja Creami frappe as it is, as there is all the flavor from the coffee and the sweetness from the maple syrup. However, if you did want to make it more like a coffee shop alternative then there are some options.
Take some caramel or chocolate sauce (the kind you put on top of ice cream) and drizzle it round the inside of the glass. Honestly, it makes you feel like a barista!
Then, make your own cold foam. I had no idea it was so easy, and adding some on top is lighter than whipped cream and makes your Creamiccino look more authentic.
For 2 servings, put 60ml/2oz skim milk in a jug with 0.5 tablespoon of powdered sugar and 0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract and then use a milk frother to froth it up. This is optional though and isn't in the nutritional info.

Tips For Making The BEST Creamiccino
- You can of course use decaf coffee to make this if you are avoiding caffeine.
- Experiment with the sweetness to suit your own tastes. Taste it before it goes into the freezer and then you can always add more.
- This Ninja creami Creamiccino should be served straight away, otherwise it will melt and you won't have the same frozen frappe texture.
- When adding liquids to the frozen pint container, don't exceed the pour-in line.
