Nothing says Christmas entertaining quite like this Antipasto Wreath. It's vibrant, colourful, effortlessly stunning, and best of all it takes under 10 minutes to assemble. This Christmas antipasto wreath is the ultimate no-cook appetiser that looks beautiful on the table yet requires almost zero kitchen skills. Perfect for Christmas parties, grazing tables, Christmas Eve nibbles whilst wrapping presents, or as a bring-along dish to any festive gathering.

What is an antipasto wreath? Think of it as a festive spin on a classic charcuterie or antipasto platter - arranged in a circle to look like a beautiful Christmas wreath.
Fresh herbs form the "greenery," while colourful ingredients such as olives, mozzarella balls, meat, tomato, cheese cubes and cucumber act like ornaments.
It's simple but visually dramatic and guaranteed to impress. I love this antipasto wreath recipe because it's so customisable and endlessly versatile and it's a great way to get kids to try a few new things too.
Whether you prefer a traditional Italian-style antipasto wreath like we have done or want to build a healthier, lighter version (options below), this wreath adapts beautifully.

Ingredients and Substitutions

A full ingredients list, along with US Customary and Metric measurements, can be found in the recipe card at the end of this post.
- Meat - We used prosciutto and chorizo as the ingredients in them are really good with it just being pork and salt.
- Cheese - A variety of cheese is important. We used cheddar, Red Leicester, Mozzarella balls, Brie and Wensleydale.
- Herbs - Some fresh thyme (or rosemary) gives the greenery to make it look like a wreath.
- Salad items - Cucumber, cherry tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes and olives.
Variations
The great thing about an antipasto platter is that there are SO many different ways that you can customise it. Ours has pretty much everything you can imagine on it, but here are some other ingredients that work well:
Meat - You could make salami roses, pepperoni, or use chicken or turkey slices to keep it leaner.
Cheese - Feta and goat's cheese are nice for something creamier, but they don't store as well.
Vegetables/Fruit/Salad - Roasted red peppers, artichokes, broccoli, mini pickles, grapes, apple cubes and marinated mushrooms.
How To Make an Antipasto Wreath

- Arrange all of the ingredients in a ring shape around a large wooden board.
Serving Suggestions
This is stunning just the way it is, but if you want to add more flavour (although it will make it a little messier), then you can add a balsamic glaze over the top.
We love serving this with some crackers. Sourdough are our favourite store-bought crackers, but have you tried making these Easy Homemade Crackers? And some Christmas Chutney on the side.
You could also have some slices of warm crusty bread with bowls of olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
You could also add a bowl with a dip in the middle to fill that space. Take a look at our Dip Recipes.
Antipasto Wreath Storage
Because this is essentially a charcuterie platter, it stores well:
Before Assembling
- Keep all ingredients refrigerated in separate containers.
- You can prep the toppings up to 24 hours in advance.
After Assembling
- Wrap tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 4 hours before serving.
- If ingredients release moisture, gently dab with a paper towel before guests arrive.
Leftovers
- Meats and cheese can be stored in airtight containers, eat within 2-3 days.
- Herbs - discard if wilted.
- Tomatoes and roasted peppers should be stored separately to avoid sogginess.

Dannii's Top Tips
- Use a large round platter, as this is best for presenting a wreath on.
- Try to mix up the colours as much as possible. Lots of greens and reds work well at Christmas time.
- Build height by stacking ingredients slightly rather than laying everything flat.
- Use marinated ingredients sparingly as the oil with spread.
- If you wanted to make this easier to serve, then you could put everything on mini skewers like our Antipasto Skewers and then arrange them in a circle to look like a wreath.
