Ingredients and Substitutions

A full ingredients list, along with US Customary and Metric measurements, can be found in the recipe card at the end of this post.
- Mini meringues - We used store-bought mini meringue nests as the whole point of this festive dessert is that it's put together in minutes. If you want to go all out and make your own, then try this Meringue Recipe.
- Yogurt - Whilst traditionally you would add whipped cream, we love this light swap. Use 5% or 10% fat and it's still really creamy, but lighter than cream and a good protein addition too.
- Berries - A mixture of raspberries, blueberries and strawberries.
- Jam - A little drop of jam at the base of each meringue adds some sweetness and an extra burst of flavour. We like cherry jam. You could use our Strawberry Puree or a Strawberry Compote.
- Icing sugar and mint - These are optional, but I think if you want to make it look really beautiful for a special occasion, then these work well.
Variations
Chocolate - Grated some dark chocolate, or chop it into chunks and sprinkle over the berries before serving. This would be good if you swap the jam for marmalade as chocolate and orange go so well together.
Nuts - Either crush some nuts to sprinkle on top, or drizzle some nut butter over the fruit and yogurt.
Lemon - Swap jam for lemon curd and then add the yogurt on top with some lemon zest or lemon peel.
Tropical - If you wanted a more tropical vibe to your mini pavlovas, then why not swap the berries for diced mango and pineapple and add some passion fruit on top?
Booze - For a boozy twist, you could add a splash of something like Bailey's to the yogurt, or even use a Bailey's pouring cream.
How To Make Mini Pavlovas

- Step 1: Arrange the meringue nests on a board.

- Step 2: Spoon the jam into the nests.

- Step 3: Add the yogurt on top of the jam.

- Step 4: Add one blueberry, one raspberry and divide the chopped strawberries to the tops of the yogurt. Add mint leaves and dust with icing sugar.
Dannii's Top Tips
- Don't add the toppings until serving. This isn't a make-ahead dessert, which is why it's so good that it only takes 5 minutes to put together. These don't store well as the wet yogurt and fruit make the meringue soft, as it is delicate.
- These also make a beautiful DIY dessert bar - set out toppings and let guests build their own!
