This Christmas Fruit Wreath is so stunning, but ridiculously easy to make. A beautiful centerpiece on a festive party food table and it balances out all those more indulgent foods. Ready in just 5 minutes too!

Berries arranged on a round wooden board to look like a Christmas wreath.

If you are looking for a Christmas party dish that looks like you have gone to a lot of effort, without actually going to a lot of effort, then this Xmas fruit wreath is it. A base of green grapes to look like the wreath, some berries and pomegranate to add color and then some mint to make it look even more realistic.

This fruit wreath takes less than 5 minutes to put together, so it can be done just before your guests arrive, and it's so easy to adapt with whatever fruits you have or to suit your tastes - we have lots of variations below.

Ingredients and Substitutions

All the ingredients needed to make this recipe, each with a text overlay label.

A full ingredients list, along with US Customary and Metric measurements, can be found in the recipe card at the end of this post.

  • Grapes - This is the base of the fruit wreath. Look for grapes that don't have any brown spots on them for the best results.
  • Berries - These add a nice pop of color to contract from the green. We used fresh raspberries and blueberries, but you could use blackberries and chopped strawberries too.
  • Pomegranate - These add such a nice pop of color and flavor. You could skip these though.
  • Mint - Although the sprigs of mint aren't for eating, it really adds something to the presentation and makes it look far more realistic as a wreath. You could add rosemary too.

Christmas Fruit Wreath Variations

The great thing about a fruit wreath is that it's so easy to adapt. Once you have the base of the green grapes, anything goes. Much like if you were making your own festive wreath out of foliage, you can add all kinds of leaves, twigs etc.

We also like cutting out little stars from watermelon and (carefully) balancing them on the grapes. You could use honey melon as well for contrast and to look more like stars.

If you didn't want to use this many grapes, you could add diced or sliced green kiwi to your wreath and still keep it green. You could also use red grapes as well as the green.

Why not add some cranberries to keep it festive?

You can make a veggie version of this by using broccoli instead of grapes and adding tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers.

Serving Suggestions

We always have a Christmas fruit wreath next to all the other party food as it gives everyone a lighter option if they want one. Some of our favorite festive party foods are our Brie and Cranberry Bites, Smoked Salmon Canapes and Mushroom Tartlets.

Whilst we have served this as it is as a festive dessert, there is a big space in the middle of the Christmas fruit wreath that would be perfect for some kind of dip. Why not try our Cream Cheese Fruit Dip, Peanut Butter Yogurt Dip or Healthy Chocolate Fruit Dip?

Extra Tips

  • You need a large circular serving tray to build this fruit wreath. Depending on the size of the tray you have, you may need to adjust the amount of fruit used.
  • If you don't have a circular serving board, then you could just line a baking tray with baking paper and then shape your wreath into a circle.
  • Try to serve this within an hour or two of making it for the freshest dish and use the freshest fruit that you can.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to store leftovers

Any leftover fruit can be stored in airtight containers for 1-2 days. We mix it all together to make a little fruit salad and serve it on yogurt or pancakes.

Can I make this in advance?

You should only assemble this just before serving (no more than 2 hours). However, you can measure out the fruit in advance and keep it in an airtight containers in the fridge until you are ready to put it together.
