Ingredients and Substitutions

A full ingredients list, along with US Customary and Metric measurements, can be found in the recipe card at the end of this post.
- Water - We used fizzy water to make it an alternative to fizzy sugary drinks. However, you could use still water.
- Raspberries - This adds a pop of colour and some flavour too. If you wanted it to have a stronger raspberry flavour, then you could crush them first. Any berries would work, or you could use a squeeze of lemon or lime.
- Mint - Use the freshest mint leaves you have.
Variations
The great thing about this raspberry and mint water is that it is easy to customise. Don't like raspberries? You can use lemon or limes instead, or even cucumber, orange, strawberries or grapefruit.
How to Make Raspberry and Mint Water

- Step 1: Put the raspberries and mint leaves into a jug.

- Step 2: Top up with sparkling water and put in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to allow all the flavours to infuse.
Storage
A big jug of this will keep in the fridge for around 2 days. We like to make up a big jug in the summer and keep it in the fridge for a quick drink to grab.
It's far more exciting than plain water. You might need to change the mint leaves though, as they will get a bit soggy.
Danni's Top Tips
- If you want a more intense mint flavour, then you can steep the mint first. Add the mint to some boiling water and leave for 15 minutes. Then mix in a little cold water and add all that to the jug with the rest of the water and the raspberries.
- Add some extra flavour and a burst of citrus by squeezing in half a lemon.
- Keep it in the fridge for a few hours, as this allows all the flavours to really infuse.
- You can either use fizzy water, tap water or coconut water.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you are not a fan of fizzy drinks, then you could just just plain tap water or even some coconut water if you wanted even more flavour.
Yes, we would definitely recommend letting it all chill together because it allows the water to really infuse.

You know I drink so much fizzy pop and hadn't for one second considered the environmental impact of the bottles I throw away. They go in the recycling bin and I don't give them another thought. Thanks for making me aware!
